Almost every one of you knows about the Internet Download Manager. The Internet Download Manager is undoubtedly the best Download Manager app for Windows. I’ve been using the IDM for years, and it never disappointed me. The IDM comes with the Pause and Resume option for most of the download. So, you can pause and resume the downloads as per convenience. The IDM is not a free-to-use software. It can be utilized as a Trial for 30 days, but later you’ve to pay the small amount for the lifetime license of this software. All I can say is that it is worth to buy the Internet Download Manager.

  1. Great article about windows download managers..I really just love your post. Please stay us informed like this. Thanks for sharing.

    • Hello Mamedshar,

There is no download manager that supports this feature as per our knowledge. But a while back I pulled it out by using a simple trick in IDM.

      1. Set the number of threads to 1. (Will decrease the download speed because no parallel downloads of file chunks)
      2. Find out the temporary download path in the IDM.
      3. Find the temporary downloading file and open it with your default media player.

Let me know how this works out for you!

  2. Internet Download Manager is by far the best of them all IMO simply because it has a unique feature of refreshing/resuming broken or expired links again, which I didn’t see in any other single download manager.

  3. I seriously can bet that the people leavin’ praise kinds of words in here are literally their own friends

idm sucks. How it does? It asks for a registration and you gotta pay for it Trolol…

FDM has been the best ones of all managers…

Free Download Manager. It’s even much better than idm
and the most surprisin’ thin’ is that It’s FREE…

    It’s a real REVIEW… I ain’t sayin’ shits…

    • Hello,

Whether you believe it or not I have purchased IDM subscription a long time ago and meanwhile, I tried many other download managers but did not get satisfied with any. According to me, IDM is best for downloading files directly and Vuze for downloading torrents. At the end of the day, it all comes down to which software your prefer the most. No hard feelings!

    • Hello Whoever You Are,

Thank you for bringing this to our attention. We have removed Orbit Download Manager from the list. It’s the audience like yours that motivates us with critical feedback. 😀
